AMERICAN FORK — One person was killed in a crash in American Fork Canyon early Monday morning, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Sgt. Michael Alexander said the person crashed on state Route 92, otherwise known as Timpanogos Highway, at approximately 2:30 a.m. The impact occurred near milepost 10, which is near the mouth of the canyon road.

He said the driver was the only person in the car, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

UHP did not say how the crash occurred or give more details as to how the person died.
