NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - President Donald Trump on Monday (Oct. 20) nominated a Louisiana Supreme Court justice to fill a vacancy on the federal court bench in New Orleans.
Justice William J. Crain, who was elected to the state’s highest court in November 2019, is “highly qualified and respected,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
“William has proven he has the Wisdom and Courage required to put our Constitution, FIRST,” Trump wrote in the post. “Now, more than ever, we need Judges who will hold violent criminals accountable, enforce the Rule of Law, and protect our Inalienable Rights. I trust William, who is highly qualified and respected, to continue to make his State, and our Nation, proud.”
Crain needs US Senate confirmation before his move to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern D
