Nearly two years after confirming her relationship with the “Glory” artist on her eponymous talk show, the American Idol alum reflected on the reasons her relationship with the rapper continues to thrive.

“Our Chicago roots is a huge part of it,” Jennifer told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview at the Daytime Emmy Awards Oct. 17. “We're just similar souls and spirits. He's such a beautiful person, and I just respect him for just who he is, how he is.”
