Nobody was more excited than Vladimir Guerrero Jr. after the Toronto Blue Jays were able to punch their ticket to the World Series.

It wasn’t easy, but the Blue Jays were able to best the Seattle Mariners in the ALCS, picking up a massive Game 7 victory at Rogers Centre on Monday night.

Though it was George Springer playing hero in Game 7 , the Blue Jays wouldn’t be where they are if not for the play of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The 26-year-old, who was named the ALCS MVP, entered Monday’s outing hitting a blistering .462 with six home runs and 12 RBI.

Guerrero, who committed to the Blue Jays organization with a 14-year contract extension in April, was overcome with emotion when speaking to Sportsnet’s Hazel Mae in an on-field interview.
