While most parts of India celebrated Diwali on October 20, some regions are observing the festival today, leading to bank closures in select cities. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday list, banks will remain closed today in Belapur, Bhopal, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, and Srinagar on account of Diwali Amavasya (Deepawali) and Govardhan Puja .

It’s worth noting that banks in Bhopal, Gangtok, Guwahati, and Raipur were already closed on October 20 for Diwali, Naraka Chaturdashi, or Kali Puja . Rate this post
