Local gas prices continue to fall; national average nearing $3 a gallon

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline is creeping closer to $3 a gallon, while upstate New York prices continued to decline, including by more than a nickel in Batavia from a week ago, according to AAA.

It has been four years since motorists have seen the national average cost of gasoline at the $3 per gallon mark.
