SAN ANTONIO — A new twist has emerged in the fight over Project Marvel.

San Antonio non-profit COPS Metro is now taking legal action involving the state and San Antonio City Attorney’s office, arguing that its illegal for city councilmembers to take a stance on a vote for Bexar County.

They claim it makes them a part of the county campaign, while silencing opposition on Project Marvel.

Leaders with COPS Metro say the "no Project Marvel Coalition" also signed this complaint.

COPS Metro has held their own rallies against Project Marvel, including one last month.

The non-profit says the plan for Project Marvel was rushed without public feedback

The group also worries about spending changes the city will have to make if the plan passes.
