Well, they did it anyway. The former lieutenant governor and car dealer with only an undergraduate degree is not qualified to lead the North Dakota University System, but the Board of Higher Education appointed him anyway.

This appointment smacks of political cronyism.

This failure to understand the workings and values of higher education is clear evidence that the members of this State Board of Higher Education are incompetent, and the governor should demand their immediate resignations. Of course, that won’t happen because the governor is a politician and a member of the same political party as the former lieutenant governor.
