CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was beaten and robbed on a CTA Red Line train on the South Side Tuesday morning, Chicago police said.
The incident took place on a northbound train at about 3:30 a.m. 200-block of West Garfield Avenue.

Police said a 55-year-old man told officers a group of four male suspects armed with a gun struck him in the face and took his belongings.
The victim had minor injuries and was transported to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction and one was taken into custody a short time later, police said. Charges are pending.
