There's 24 nominees vying to be Marion County's next athlete of the week. For one of these highly skilled athletes they'll join a short list of athletes honored with the title.

We have our familiar faces like Trinity Catholic outside hitter Maddie Hewitson and Vanguard quarterback Terrance Lewis. We're also joined by first timers Trinity Catholic swimmer Alejandro Perez and Forest football player Cortney Brown.

This year's Athlete of the Week system is a little different. The poll ends Friday at noon , and the winner will be announced shortly after on this page. The twist is the highlight video element displayed for nominees.
