The BSE Sensex rose 62.97 points, or 0.07 per cent, to finish at 84,426.34.
During the session, it touched an intraday high of 84,665.44 and a low of 84,286.40. The NSE Nifty gained 25.45 points, or 0.10 per cent, to settle at 25,868.60.
Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 24 ended with gains, 25 declined, and one remained unchanged.
