SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. —Tensions continued to rise at the Sun Prairie Area School District after pressure from community members during meetings this month.

During the district's annual meeting on Oct. 6, community members approved two significant motions that can impact the district's operations. They voted no confidence in Superintendent Dr. Brad Saron and voted to maintain the levy limit at roughly $86 million for next year.

The annual meeting typically draws about 20 attendees, more than 100 people showed up this year to voice their concerns.

"We wanted to send a strong message. We definitely did not believe it would pass. The fact that it passed lets us know that more people are paying attention and more people are aware," said Lisa Goldsberry, a former school board member who attended
