A new Peacock miniseries examines one of Chicago’s most notorious serial killers, John Wayne Gacy, focusing on how he concealed a double life while operating as a respected community member, E! Online reported.
" Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy " revisits the well-known story to spotlight Gacy’s victims and the investigation that ultimately exposed him. The series stars Michael Chernus as the killer who murdered at least 33 boys while maintaining a public persona as a contractor, political organizer and party clown named “Pogo.”
Gacy’s ability to blend into suburban life made his crimes particularly disturbing. When the 36-year-old business owner was eventually arrested on Dec. 21, 1978, authorities discovered the remains of 26 victims buried in the crawl space of his home.
