Virginia Giuffre‘s new book — published months after she died by suicide at age 41 — offers a deeper look into the Giuffre’s allegations against Prince Andrew and her past experience with late convicted billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

An excerpt from the book released prior to its official release on Tuesday, October 21, detailed the first time that Giuffre and Andrew allegedly crossed paths in 2001. Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell (who is currently incarcerated), allegedly prepared Giuffre to meet the former Duke of York.

“Maxwell woke me up that morning by announcing in a singsongy voice: ‘Get out of bed, sleepyhead!’” Giuffre wrote. “It was going to be ‘a special day.’”
