Police are investigating a shooting after a man was dropped off at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

The man was dropped off at about 7 p.m. on Monday and he was being treated by emergency room staff for multiple gunshot wounds. He was listed in critical condition.

Police determined the shooting took place in the 2400 block of Market Street, a residential area near high rise apartments Bellevue Towers.

Police did not release the name of the victim or any additional details, including whether they have any suspects.

The shooting happened about one hour after a man was killed in the 1800 block of Park Street Monday, which is less than a mile from the homicide scene. It’s too soon to know if the shootings are connected.
