New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator/play-caller Mike Kafka came under fire after they put rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart in a situation that resulted in Dart throwing an inexcusable interception with under five minutes to play in regulation of the club's 33-32 loss at the Denver Broncos this past Sunday.
While speaking with reporters on Monday, Daboll was asked about allowing Dart to drop back to pass on that third-down play when the Giants held a 10-point lead with 4:56 on the clock.
