SRINAGAR : Police on Tuesday registered two FIRs against four butchers from the Achabal Adda area of main town Anantnag in south Kashmir for allegedly violating government orders related to the storage and sale of meat. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

An official said that, the cases have been registered under FIR numbers 210/2025 and 211/2025 after the vendors were found keeping meat hanging in the open air, in violation of food safety and hygiene norms.

“During checking, four butchers were found keeping meat hanging outside their shops for sale, making it unsafe for human consumption and posing a risk of infection and health hazards to customers,” an official said.
