GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — A Johnson County murder suspect was arrested in southeastern Texas over the weekend after an overnight search, officials say.
The Grimes County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a man trespassing at a home off of FM 1696 in Bedias, about 30 miles west of Huntsville, shortly after 7 p.m. Oct. 19, according to a statement. The caller reported the man was wearing black shorts and no shirt and "appeared to be experiencing a possible mental health episode," deputies said.
Deputies were told the man may have a pistol in his pocket and area residents reported the same man had "knocked on several doors earlier in the day asking for a shirt," according to a press release.
