Following up on the success of the Terra Madre Americas food and drink festival which allowed attendees to consume alcohol inside and outside the event in a specially-created entertainment zone, Sacramento city leaders are scheduled to vote on a proposal to expand the city's entertainment zones .

The zones allow licensed bars and restaurants to serve alcoholic drinks to those who can consume those drinks outdoors in common spaces like plazas, sidewalks, and streets during certain hours.
