All four members of the Eason family couldn’t wait for bowhunting season to begin.

“We always try to get the kids out with us as much as possible, and always have them on every blood trail,” said dad, Zach Eason. “Both of our kids love the outdoors and also bow hunting.”

On opening day, Jessica (mom) and Zach split parenting duties, each taking one of their kids into the woods on their Hannibal property.

While sitting with Korbin, 7, Jessica shot a doe that night using a crossbow. An avid compound bow hunter, it was the first time she harvested a deer with a crossbow.

“It made things a little easier while sitting with Korbin off the ground,” Zach said.
