More than 700 current and former construction and demolition workers will share $1.4 million as part of a settlement with their employer after the New York Attorney General’s Office found the company guilty of widespread labor abuses.

The $1.5 million settlement, announced Tuesday by AG Letitia James , follows an investigation that found Alba Services, Inc. repeatedly violated state workers’ compensation laws, retaliated against injured employees, interfered with medical treatment, and failed to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
