One of the best ever to play basketball at Western Reserve Academy has decided to stay in the Buckeye state .

Anthony Thompson announced Tuesday, Oct. 21 he has committed to play men's basketball at Ohio State, as first reported by ESPN.

A 6-foot-8 small forward, Thompson is a senior at WRA and native of Lebanon, Ohio. He is rated as a five-star recruit by 247Sports , making him the No. 8 prospect in the Class of 2026. He is the first five-star recruit to commit to Ohio State since All-American Jared Sullinger.
