SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Beautiful weather ahead for the next few days but the next major system arrives this weekend bringing another round of widespread storms.

For tonight, it will turn chilly behind the cold front that moved through earlier in the day. Temperatures will dip into the mid 40s in many areas so make sure and bring along the jacket!

High pressure will bring beautiful weather Wednesday and Thursday with plenty of sunshine and very low humidity. Highs both days will be in the low 80s with overnight temperatures in the 50s.

A gusty south breeze will develop Friday bringing a quick increase in cloud cover along with a big jump in humidity. This will set the stage for a stormy weekend.
