The Toronto Blue Jays are undoubtedly Canada’s baseball team, and the numbers prove it.
Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night between the Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners delivered record-breaking viewership numbers on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, reaching over 11.8 million Canadians.
Toronto’s comeback win — led by George Springer’s miraculous three-run homer in the seventh inning — as it punched the franchise’s first World Series trip since 1993, was seen by an average of six million viewers, peaking at 8.3 million when Jeff Hoffman fanned Julio Rodriguez for the game’s final out.
The previous high of 5.1 million average viewers came in 2015 during Game 6 of the ALCS between the Blue Jays and the Kansas City Royals. • Watch the Blue Jays in the World Series on Sportsnet The Toronto Blue Jay
