PEORIA, Ill. – Prosecutors have agreed to drop some charges against Sean Grayson during the second day of his murder trial in Peoria.

25 News reports charges of aggravated battery and official misconduct were dropped Tuesday against the former Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Grayson is still charged with three counts of First Degree Murder for allegedly shooting and killing Sonya Massey last July, after he responded to a police call at her Springfield home.

Prosecutors and the defense spent time in court today disputing if a witness could use words on the stand such as “reasonable,” ”unreasonable,” ”lawful” and “justified.”
