LUBBOCK, Texas -- A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was involved in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 50th Street and Slide Avenue early Tuesday evening.

According to DPS, the trooper was headed to assist another trooper with a felonious suspect when they were involved in the accident. The trooper was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
