The 2025-26 NBA regular season has finally commenced, with defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors registering wins in their respective season openers. The Los Angeles Lakers vs. Warriors game was as impressive as expected. The Lakers, without LeBron James, who missed the game due to his sciatica injury, suffered a 10-point loss against the Warriors.

After managing a one-point lead at the end of the first half, Golden State took control and went on to win the game 119-109. Jimmy Butler, who is playing his first full season with the Warriors, displayed his tremendous form. The veteran forward scored a team-high 31 points on 50% shooting from the field. Butler also added five rebounds, four assists, and a steal.

Apart from Butler, Stephen Curry scored 23 points
