Police taped off a Glasgow east end street after a man attacked with a "sharp object" was found injured.

Around 1.40pm on Tuesday, October 21, emergency services rushed to Duke Street, near the Forge Shopping Centre in Parkhead, following the assault .

The man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and he has since been released.

Police have not confirmed what sort of weapon was used in the incident but confirmed his injuries were consistent with a sharp object.

No arrests have been made and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
