ROCHESTER, Minn. – A jury has returned a split verdict for the second man arrested in a 2024 Rochester traffic stop.
Alonzo Noel Davila, 26 of Minneapolis, and Marice Stevenson Gill, 20 of St. Paul, were arrested on October 28, 2024, after their vehicle was pulled over in the 300 block of 4th Avenue SE at around 2:10 am. Rochester police said they found 0.7 grams of cocaine and two stolen handguns in the vehicle.
Davila now pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
Gill pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property and carrying a pistol without a permit. After a seven-day trial in Olmsted County District Court, a jury acquitted Gill of the first charge and convicted him of the second.
