PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A Chicago-area man charged in a shooting at a Bradley University residence hall was granted pretrial release, but with significant terms handed down.

Edward Traywick, Jr. of Lansing appeared before Associate Judge Mark Gilles Tuesday, facing charges related to an incident on Oct. 19. Traywick, who appeared via Zoom, had family present in the courtroom.

Police responded around 2 a.m. Sunday, to a dorm, where they found a victim and three other individuals who were visiting a Bradley student. Investigators later found a trail of blood and a shell casing in the dorm. The young woman, who was not a Bradley student, was shot in the abdomen.

Additionally, surveillance footage showed Traywick, wearing a black Nike backpack, carrying a woman believed to be the victim.
