(Jamestown, ND) — A federally funded wildlife research center in North Dakota is facing several job cuts. The Interior Department is planning to cut 28 of the 40 positions at the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center in Jamestown. The cuts would be a part of more than two-thousand Interior Department layoffs across the nation, however, a court ruling has stalled the plan. The department announced that it will pause the layoffs after a judge expanded a temporary restraining order. The center is a part of the U.S. Geological Survey, which is under the Department of the Interior.
