ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A 20-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run on Tuesday afternoon, causing a Brookhaven road to shut down for hours.

Clairmont Road was closed between Dresden Drive and Bragg Street. The route had cleared as of 3:30 p.m.

Brookhaven police said they were called to the accident near the intersection of Clairmont Road and Dresden Drive at around noon, where they found that Chamblee police had already responded.

The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman’s boyfriend said she was walking in the crosswalk when a concrete dump truck ran into her while turning right onto Dresden Drive.
