Amid several twists and turns in the death case of the son of former Punjab Police chief Mohammad Mustafa, the SIT has focused its probe on two key aspects - the medical history of the deceased and a syringe mark on his hand. To get more clarity on these aspects, the Panchkula police have summoned Mustafa as well as his family for interrogation in connection with the death of Aqil Akhtar (35).
Sources said the retired IPS and his family would join the probe soon. Senior police officer ACP Vikram Nehra, who is heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT), underlined that determining the cause of Akhtar's death was his top priority.
