TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 16th annual Pumpkin Palooza is returning to Hudson Valley Community College on Thursday. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. and run until 8 p.m.

Event schedule • Pumpkin launch outside of the Siek Campus Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. • Pumpkin decorating contest at the Siek Campus Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. • Pumpkin Palooza Festival at the McDonough Sports Complex from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

All events are free for everyone to attend. There will be games, prizes, music, refreshments, a balloon artist, caricature drawings, and more.

Event organizers said attendees are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes. The college is also going to be accepting non-perishable food items for the HVCC food pantry.
