The global trade system is grappling with significant obstacles arising from increased tariffs, according to U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

Addressing the U.N. Trade and Development conference in Geneva, Guterres expressed concerns over developing countries bearing the brunt of these challenges.

He cautioned delegates about possible trade wars and the endangerment of the rules-based trading system.
