In a pioneering move, Indian breed dogs, including the Mudhol and Rampur Hounds, are being trained to participate in high-risk commando operations by the Border Security Force (BSF).

This exercise, orchestrated by the National Training Centre for Dogs (NTCD) at Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh, comes after encouraging feedback regarding their performance in detection duties.

The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for self-reliance, positioning these native breeds as formidable participants in national security efforts.
