The Yankees ’ postmortem last week gave us some clarity on the Yankees’ shortstop situation. We now know Anthony Volpe will start next season on the injured list due to a surgery that repaired his left labrum tear .

How much time will he miss?

Well, Volpe can’t dive until the middle of April, so he’s probably out until at least early May.

Will the Yankees go out and get someone new?

We don’t know at this point, but what we do know is Volpe had a very poor season, so poor that Jose Caballero took over as a starter for a short time in September.
