Police and the Health Department jointly organised a comprehensive health camp for police personnel at PSR Gardens here on Wednesday, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and NMJ Cancer Institute, Hyderabad.

Expert doctors from 13 disciplines conducted health check-ups for the police personnel. More

than 80 doctors, paramedical staff, and nurses took part in the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha said the police were responsible for protecting society and the Constitution, but it was also the duty of society to take care of them as they make significant sacrifices to maintain peace.
