London could see up to a month’s worth of rain fall in just 24 hours , as severe and dreary weather sweeps across the UK.

Forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning over the risk of flooding, as residents in the capital prepare for heavy and prolonged rain on Friday and Saturday.

While rainfall may not be as severe as in some parts of southern England, the capital could also experience surface flood and traffic disruptions because of the incoming rain.
