ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — An update will be provided on the case involving a former Geneva Police Officer accused of selling drugs on duty.
Michael Tapscott was a police officer with the Geneva Police Department. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and official misconduct.
Tapscott was accused of selling a controlled substance to someone at a local business while on duty and operating a police car. Investigators said they found evidence that Tapscott provided a form of Adderall to another person.
Tapscott was arrested earlier this year and was released on his own recognizance. He resigned from the Geneva Police Department after being placed on administrative leave.
