HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (WEVV) — A Dubois County man is facing online child sex crime charges after an investigation led by the Huntingburg Police Department.
Earlier this month, HPD Detectives affiliated with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation after receiving a tip about child sex abuse material and child exploitation.
The cyber tip, generated by Google, revealed that 51-year-old Roy Stearns of Holland had uploaded child sex abuse material files online, according to HPD.
On Tuesday afternoon, police say they executed two search warrants in Holland and seized additional evidence.
As a result of the investigation, Stearns was arrested and booked into the Dubois County Jail. He's facing charges of child exploitation/possession of child sex abuse material.
