AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) - Tuesday evening at 5:42 pm the Aiken County Coroner’s Office responded to Aiken Regional Medical Centers to investigate the death of a man following a crash.

The vehicle vs bicycle collision occurred at 4:58 pm on University Parkway near Arbor Court.

90-year-old John Pallazo was traveling east on University Parkway operating an electric three-wheeled bicycle when he was struck by a 2022 Toyota Tundra that was also traveling east on University Parkway.

Aiken County EMA transported Mr. Pallazo to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 5:34 pm.

The Coroner’s Office along with the Aiken Department of Public Safety are continuing with the investigation.

Toxicology analysis is pending.
