SRINAGAR : Police in south Kashmir’s Shopian district have attached a single-storey residential house valued at Rs 15.44 lakh, allegedly acquired through proceeds of the drug trade. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

The property, measuring 1,258 sq. ft. under Survey No. 498 min, belongs to Mukhtar Ahmad Naikoo, a resident of Meemander, Shopian. Investigations revealed that the house was purchased using money earned from the sale of illegal drugs and narcotics.

According to officials, Naikoo has been involved in multiple cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, including FIR No. 41/2016 and FIR No. 27/2020 of Police Station Shopian.
