PEMBROKE — The Purnell Swett Rams host the (3-5) (0-3) Gray’s Creek Bears Friday, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

The Rams (2-6, 0-3 Tri-County Conference) have had a porous defense in recent weeks, with their opponents scoring over 40 points in the last three games. To make matters worse, they have been held under 10 points three times this season. Purnell Swett will end its season next week against the Lumberton Pirates.

“We just have to play football,” Purnell Swett’s head football coach Josh Deese said.

Gray’s Creek (3-5, 0-3 TCC) has lost its last four games by a combined 68 points. They have scored just under 20 points per game this season, with 158 points scored across eight games. With 251 points allowed in that time frame, they are averaging just over 31 points allowed per game. To
