CLEVELAND, Ohio – As energy prices continue to skyrocket across the nation, more Ohioans are becoming desperate for ways to shave off even a few dollars from their monthly utility bills.
The good news is that the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio offers a free online price-comparing tool known as “Apples to Apples” where anyone can shop for the best rates available to them.
The bad news? Energy experts and consumer advocates say that not only are most Ohioans probably already getting their best deal, but switching energy suppliers without doing extensive research might actually stick you with higher utility bills in the long run.
