CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A suspicious package caused delays along a portion of the Charlotte light rail system, according to transit officials.

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) announced that a suspicious package was found on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the McCullough Station. That station, located at 8312 N. Tryon St., serves the Lynx Blue Line light rail.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police removed the package.

Northbound trains were turned back at the Old Concord Station. Officials said to expect 20-minute delays.
