EXCLUSIVE: Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to Carolina Caroline , the Adam Carter Rehmeier -directed romantic crime thriller that had its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival last month.

Samara Weaving stars as Caroline Daniels, whose desire to leave her small Texas town brings her into the orbit of a charismatic con man ( Kyle Gallner ). Together they weave a path of crime and passion across the American Southeast. Scripted by Tom Dean, the film also stars Kyra Sedgwick and features a wide-ranging country music soundtrack, with Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Loretta Lynn and others lending tunes. Magnolia plans a theatrical release for next year.
