Shillong, Oct 23 : National People's Party (NPP) leader and cabinet minister Marcuise N Marak has stated that the delay in payment of salaries to Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) employees should not affect the party's prospects in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to reporters today, Marak said the party is almost resolving the issues, and most employees are happy and have resumed their offices.
"They have started preparing bills etc. Once the bills are ready, money will be paid to them (employees)," he assured.
Marak reiterated the party's commitment to being with the people on the ground every day, stating, "We are 24 x 7 with the people. We are almost ever ready to face any election."
