Election Day is November 4, but it’s no longer just a one-day event. Early in-person voting starts on October 25. October 25 is also the last day to apply online for a mail-in ballot.
New York City is going to be voting for a new mayor. In some ways, local elections are even more important than national ones as we feel the impact so much closer to home. Choosing a mayor can make a big difference in the size of the police force, the impact on street crime, the direction of our schools, city taxes, our transit system, rezoning of our neighborhoods, and so many other things. It’s so important to look at all the candidates with open minds and do our research on all the issues. As of this writing, the second debate is scheduled for tonight, October 22.
