CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - A Canton mother and daughter were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the death of a man back in August.

According to a Canton Police release, on Aug. 1, 54-year-old 54-year-old Jerry L. Morris was found dead in Akron.

On Aug. 16, investigators from the Akron Police contacted Canton Police detectives, and the two agencies were able to determine that the homicide occurred in Canton.

U.S. Marshals arrested 54-year-old Yolanda R. Lowery and her mother, 70-year-old Dorothy Lowery, on Tuesday.

Both women are incarcerated at Stark County Jail and facing murder charges.

Canton Police said the investigation is ongoing.
